The Rajinikanth starrer was slated to hit theaters on 9 May, however the producers Eros International published the postponement in release just two days preceding its real release date. The makers uncovered that the film's release was pushed because of some specialized snags.

The makers also said that the film's post processing work is finished and it has been censored in every one of the six Indian languages including Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Marathi, Punjabi, and Bhojpuri. The Rajinikanth starrer will be hitting screens in both 2d and 3d versions worldwide on 23 May.
